I met Claire 8 years ago when she was employed as Office Manager for a large corporate client of our firms.
Claire impressed me with her ability to quickly grasp issues, her attention to detail and process and her ability to
communicate and relate to a wide variety of people including Directors, staff members, customers, financiers and other advisers.
She also undertook the HR function and internal accounts management for the company in conjunction with the
Managing Director.
During Claire’s time with the company a branch of the company was sold and Claire had a leading role in the sale
process, coordinating advisers and information to be provided to the intending purchaser.
This was a multimillion-dollar transaction involving earn out payments and the company used an external adviser to conduct the sale process who worked closely with Claire.
Claire handled this task admirably and spent additional hours ensuring that the transaction was completed on time and with the best interests of the shareholders at the forefront.
Her integrity, knowledge and communication was evident throughout this process and assisted in a successful outcome.
Upon completion of the sale Claire undertook a full system review of processes and procedures within the company and following this implemented the recommended outcomes.
Following her transition to self employment, the company retained her services on a consultancy basis for some time afterward. This speaks to the respect and trust she built with the Managing Director during her employ.
I encouraged and supported her to become a Director of COIN South – Southland’s Co-investment network and I have enjoyed working with Claire at Board level .Her ability to think strategically and add quality debate is a real asset to the Board .
